Mythri Sarva Seva Samithi is a non-profit organization registered under Karnataka So cieties Act 1960. This agency is active in the slums of Bangalore and adjacent areas for the past 18 years. Currently Mythri is convener of an NGO Forum for street and working children comprising 24 NGOs and is active in networking efforts in favour of urban poor in Bangalore city.

Major activities of Mythri:

Organization for the Development of People (ODP) - Mysore, Karnataka State

ODP is a voluntary, non-profit organization of Mysore Diocesan Social Service Society working since Jan 1984, and registered under the Karnataka Societies Registration Act. ODP aims to develop and strengthen under-privileged people through participatory approaches, by organizing community based people’s groups towards creating self -managed and self-reliant communities. ODP firmly believe that animation / awareness and people’s participation - are the two key factors to achieve sustainable development. ODP is working in 4 districts, namely Mysore, Kodagu, Mandya and Chamarajnagar in Karnataka covering 17 taluks, 88 towns,202 Panchayaths and 447 villages

Women Empowerment – established MAHILODAYA, the apex level federation that coordinates the entire women empowerment initiatives of ODP; Peoples Institutions - Grama Vikasa Swasahaya Sanghagala Mahaa Okkuta (GVSSMO), a federation for farmers; Drinking water supply and Sanitation project – to provide water facilities, toilets and rain water harvesting structures; Natural resource management and many allied activities are being implemented.

Evangelical Social Action Forum (ESAF), Trichur, Kerala

Evangelical Social Action F orum (ESAF) was established in 1992 under the patronage of Kerala Evangelical Graduates Fellowship and registered under Travancore Cochin Literal and Scientific Charitable Societies Act of 1955. ESAF stands for sustainable wholistic transformation of the poor and marginalized for a just society. Evangelical Social Action Forum is born out of deep conviction that teaching and preaching should go hand in hand with social action.

Major activities of ESAF:
ESAF provides broad package of financial services to poor people through its Micro Enterprise Development (MED) activities; focuses on skills development of women through “Grass roots women training programs”; extends relief works to vulnerable communities during disasters; implements natural resources management program; undertakes community driven water and sanitation programs; organize literacy programs; provides houses to houseless families; and works for community health and rehabilitation.

Hand in Hand, Kancheepuram, Tamil Nadu

Hand in Hand is a Public Charitable Trust registered in the year 2002 with an initial focus on child labor elimination, education, and the empowerment of women. The organization has been in operation since 1988 in Kancheepuram District, Tamil Nadu, India. With time, our activities have expanded as per the demands from the rural communities in which we are working, and have come to include poverty reduction interventions among rural, poor families in a big way. We envisage an integrated strategy to address the challenges of poverty and underdevelopment. It aims at building self-reliance of disadvantaged groups by alleviating poverty through sustained income generating programs. Hand in Hand currently covers 14 districts in Tamilnadu state and Union Territory of Pondicherry.

BASIX has piloted the water credit initiative at various locations in India.. like Indore slums, New Delhi slums, Hyderabad slums and Ganjam (Orissa) rural areas. Every location has its own learning based on which BASIX devised strategies. The first round of watercredit loans are in the stage of completion.
